Skånetrafiken, which is responsible for public transport in Skåne, is strongly critical of the proposals that the investigation of a new Public Transport for the front. The government investigator Ulf Lundin la last spring presented a proposal for a far-reaching market opening for public transport.
Now cut Lundin's suggestions of the country's third largest public transport authority.
Skånetrafiken question a number of points in the investigation and says that if the commission's proposals are implemented, will be more expensive for travelers who are also receiving a reduced service offerings.
- This type of approach has for instance in Britain where traffic in recent years sold off to various players. Facit is a fragmented supply that has created a number of obstacles for travelers. The supply has decreased and become more complex to learn, also, in many cases become more expensive despite increased competition, says Lars-Ingvar Ljungman (m), Chairman of the Board for public transport in Skåne.
- Would you rather that public transport is to live and grow is the strong regional players are needed and which can hold up traffic to get a vibrant region where people can live and work. Here is Region Skåne a very good example where the right uniform tariffs and a well-hung system is the key to success.
