Bus companies felled by the Board for Consumer Complaints
The Helsingborg-based bus company Baltic Express bus has been convicted by the Board for Consumer Complaints, ARN, because they have refused to compensate a passenger who missed his return flight from Poland.
ARN wish that the traveler receives compensation for ticket outlay of close to 900.
The traveler, who resides in Sandviken, bought by Baltic Express bus round-trip ticket with open return date. When she would return home in January last year rejected the company her ticket. According to the company, she was booked on an earlier date and had missed the trip.
The ARN state bus company that has 15 000 travelers a year, and therefore can not pinpoint exactly when the customer had booked his return flight. But the company stood by that she had missed the departure, and spent his ticket.
Since the Baltic Express bus was unable to prove their claims of booking ARN has completely gone to the customer's line.
The company has also threatened to send an invoice to the customer for the costs they incurred in the handling of the notification to ARN. This BOUNCE entirely by ARN since such billing has no basis in law.
Baltic Express bus runs a regular service to Poland from Oslo and Gothenburg. The company has links with the Polish bus and travel company Almabus.
